Eric Schaer started saving for his first car when he was just 13. Eric Schaer learned the tricks of his trade working in a local car dealership. When he first started, he was in charge of washing and vacuuming all the cars before they were sold or after a car had been in for maintenance work. He was quickly promoted and learned how to perform routine maintenance, like oil changes and other minor tasks. After a few years of working in the dealership, he decided he wanted to open his own business. Eric Schaer's new company, Details Matter, opened to great success. He had developed a small, loyal group of fans from his days at the dealership and former coworkers often recommend his new shop to anyone looking to trade in their car. At first, Eric Schaer handled all the work himself, but his operation quickly expanded to include a bookkeeper and office manager, as well as four part time detailers. If his business continues to succeed, Eric Schaer has plans to open a second detailing shop in the next five years.
